My Story

I live for the aha moments at the intersection of learning and technology.

I’m an experienced teacher and have taught coding and computer science at multiple levels for the last two decades. In that time, I have developed an approach based on student voice and choice, learning by doing, and big projects, that has transformed reluctant learners into enthusiastic coders. Using a variety of platforms and technologies, including robotics, game design, physical computing, creative computing, and a whole big helping of Minecraft, I’ve had hundreds of students tell me “best course ever!” And they literally come running into the room to experience what I call “Hard Fun”.
